PLANTING OVER 2000 TREES AT NGONG HILLS

Kenya Inter university environmental students Association (KIUESA) in partnership with Hindu Religious and Service center today planted over 2000 trees at Ngong Hills. They have a target of planting 10,000 trees this month with an aim to restore Ngong Hills. Hundreds of students and other volunteers participated in the tree planting exercise. They will have subsequent tree planting exercises in Lenana school and also in Ngong Hills in the coming weeks. Today they emphasized on growing trees, because the planted trees will be monitored till maturity. This exercise aims to achieve the national campaign in Kenya #JazaMiti in meeting 15 Billion Trees target by the president of the Republic of Kenya .
