REVITALIZING KENYA ONE TREE AT A TIME

SUSTAINABLE CHANGE CAN ONLY BE MADE IF TOMORROW’S GENERATION IS INVOLVED AND INSPIRED TO TAKE ACTION TODAY.

"Revitalizing Kenya one tree at a time" is a school tree planting initiative driven by Revitalize Homes & Gardens, that was started in Kenya on the 9th of May 2023. The initiative aims to transform
school grounds into leafy green spaces for both the children of today and for future generations.

Our work in schools is delivery-focused and involves transforming school grounds into greener and healthier places to be. We teach the learners about the importance of trees and the  numerous benefits that they provide. The learners each plant their own tree, water it and pray for it to grow big and strong. They are then reminded to check on their tree every few days. This starts their journey of forming a beautiful and lasting connection to their tree.

Other benefits to learners include:
1) giving them a sense of ownership and power.
2) they take an active role in making the future cleaner and more sustainable.
3) by seeing how the trees they planted grow and change over time, learners feel a strong link to nature and a sense of pride in what they have done.
4)This sense of ownership makes them want to protect the earth for the rest of their lives.

Our initiative is an inclusive engagement of the whole school community as teachers and support staff also partake in planting a tree as well.

We are a tree growing ground handling company whose main aim is to provide a professional service to companies and other organisations that want to spend their CSR budgets in a sustainable way and maximise their returns for climate change mitigation.

To reach our target of growing 5 million tree and beyond over a period of 4 years, we must partner with like minded organisations  that have the same goal. We become your  voice in Kenya and eventually in the East African region as we expand our reach.

Our Journey started on the 9th of May 2023 when we grew 100 trees in a small school in Kiambu, Kenya. Today those same seedlings which were only 18 inches tall, are over 8 feet tall in October 2024!

From 19th of October to 21st October 2024 we head on over to Samburu a very dry part of Northern Kenya that is in dire need of trees. We will plant in 6 schools a total of 15,100 trees. This will bring our total trees grown to just over 87,000.

Together we can grow  millions of trees in Kenya and at the same time have an impact on local communities, many of whom we buy tree seedings from.

Let's regreen Kenya together as we grow  your trees for you as your professional ground handling company.

Let your voice be heard through the trees by emailing susan.homes-gardens@revitalize.co.ke for more information on how you can be part of our initiative, or by visiting our website
