Bees, butterfly, native birds and many other species have all but disappeared from our cities when the forests and gardens have been replaced by endless concrete spaces, and this in turn is having a terrible impact on the biodiversity of ecosystems on our planet. Cities start to wake up to the urgency of protecting this ecosystem within the cities themselves, and while the UK is planting native plants atop bus stops, the city of Melbourne in Australia has lead a campaign planting specifically targeted native plants and grass, noticing a return of bees and butterflies within the city.
