In October 2024, Barnaul experienced a severe ice storm that left the city covered in a dazzling, yet dangerous, icy coating. Trees, vehicles, and structures were turned into gleaming sculptures, but the stunning appearance concealed the turmoil underneath. Roads became hazardous, resulting in numerous accidents, while the city's electric transportation, such as trams and trolleybuses, ground to a halt due to frozen power lines, bringing everything to a standstill. As crews labored tirelessly to clear the icy aftermath, it became evident: the fury of the climate knows no limits.
Now more than ever, it is imperative that we come together globally to address these climate challenges. Let's combine our scientific resources and establish an International Science Center focused on climate solutions. A Global Catastrophe Alert and Rescue Service is crucial for our survival. Together, we can safeguard our planet and our future! 🌍💪 #Russia #Siberia
