DRC is turning a blind eye to illegal timber that is being exported from the country to their neighbor's like Kenya. How do they even get passed the boarders?? Is it that someone has never seen this act or is it a matter of how much can buy your silence?.Why would countries like Kenya allow illegal timber into the country?? Is there no way to check how transparent the transactions were. Some of this trees that are being cut down are very old and very rare, a time will come where they will all go extinct.Kenya has this thing where you cannot cut down certain trees without permission, which is very good and helps keep tabs on these traditional trees. Some people use their bucks for medicinal purposes, therefore we must protect them at all cost.https://www.theafricareport.com/342055/kenya-talks-big-on-climate-while-illegal-timber-from-ancient-trees-flows-in-daily-from-the-drc/

https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tracker/conflict/violence-democratic-republic-congo It is war and an ongoing conflict. I have had many peiple on my thread on the Facebook side: Biodiversity variety and loss, asking for help for the Environment and for Education. Maybe projects including sun energy projects, education and so on, could give more stability in Congo Kinshasa. And the timber/trees and the rainforest could be saved.
