No Mr Macron we can't pause environmental regulations for the well-being of the economy
On what planet does Emmanuel Macron live? While France is gearing up for an even worse summer drought than in 2022, and neighbour countries such as Spain and Italy are struggling through a historical drought in APRIL the French president thought it was a good idea to call for "a European regulatory pause" in terms of environmental norms, arguing that the EU had done "more than all the neighbours" and that it now "needed stability". According to him, environmental norms are harming plans of reindustrialisation, and hinder financing. Who is Macron representing? His people? The ones dying of climate change? Once again Macron shows he is only here to protect the interests of companies, which themselves are not asking for this pause.
This is a dangerous statement and let's hold him accountable.
