CLIMATE ACTIVISTS ACROSS EUROPE BLOCK ACCESS TO NORTH SEA OIL INFRASTRUCTURE
Climate activists from four Nations are obstructing entry to North Sea oil infrastructure as part of a synchronized pan-European civil disobedience demonstration.Demonstrations have been experienced at oil and gas terminals, refineries, and ports in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, protesting the ongoing extraction of fossil fuels in the North Sea.Similar actions ere anticipated in Denmark, with activists in Scotland staging banner displays advocating for the cessation of North Sea oil and gas exploitation. The protest comes in the same week a report found none of the big fossil fuel producing countries in the region had plans to stop drilling soon enough to meet the 1.5C (2.7F) global heating target set by the Paris climate accords.

We need to end our reliance on fossil fuels & transition to renewables. The Paris Agreement goals are achievable, but we need to see commitment from governments!

This is a good move, if our governments won't act then we will make them act. We will act ourselves to stop the destruction of our planet by fossil fuel executives.

It's inspiring to see climate activists across Europe putting their bodies on the line through civil disobedience to raise awareness & protest the ongoing extraction of fossil fuels in the North Sea..
