Increasing temperatures affect Arctic coasts more than other areas in the world

Melting icebergs are a common image used to visualize the consequences of global warming. Arctic coasts are very sensitive to global warming, as many environmental factors affect them. Factors include air and water temperature, sea-ice volume and distribution, wave energy, storm intensity and timing, and sea-level changes. Increasing temperatures affect Arctic coasts more than other areas in the world, with the Arctic surface air temperatures increasing by 2.7 °C (4.9 °F) on average, which is 2.4 times faster than the average temperature increase on the rest of the northern hemisphere. Extreme temperatures with a difference of more than 1 °C (1.8 °F) were measured in 9 of the years between 2010 and 2020. In this article, I explain how Arctic coasts change due to climate change and what the possible consequences are:

Enough proof that people should fold their sleeves and work towards restoring mother nature.

There is no doubt Arctic coast are endangered, this calls for protection on this sites. Furthermore more we should reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

It is clear that Arctic coasts are particularly vulnerable to the effects of global warming. The melting of icebergs is just one of the many signs of this, and the impacts on Arctic coasts are far-reaching and potentially devastating. It is vital that we take action to mitigate the effects of climate change to protect these precious ecosystems.
