One person was killed and 79 others were injured as a result of a tornado that struck Dongming County in Shandong Province in eastern China on Friday.According to the county Department of Emergency Management, the tornado covered the territory of the administrative center of the county, the villages of Caiyuanji and Shawo at about 14:30 local time.The injured were taken to hospitals. The damage from the impact of the elements is being assessed.
