The Maun Science Park Project will be a unique opportunity for Botswana and the world to create a fertile test bed of a knowledge-based economy. We will build a living lab of 4IR enabled home community, a research institution and an accelerator facility. Sustainable and affordable living will be at the core of this Project, galvanizing global knowledge and 4IR technology with local tribal wisdom and culture. The outcome will become a blueprint for Africa and the world. Read more how to get involved: https://www.maunsciencepark.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYjTGMsGr-4&t=152s

This is the Okavango Delta in Maun (Botswana). I was challenged to not merely think about success, but significance by contributing to a project to improve the sustainability of this community and country. The Maun Science Park (www.maunsciencepark.com) will employ technology as a catalyst to create sustainable communities, educate the populous and incubate diversified commercial entities to take advantage of this unique heritage. The project will be co-created by the people of Maun & Botswana, the Batawana Tribal Authority, the Botswana Government, and a group of international experts, and is supported by several governments and international organisations, private partners, and academic institutions such as the University of Botswana, Stockholm University eGovLab, TUM and many others. How are you using your superpowers for transformation?! Discover the Maun Science Park vision! Interesting, but I have a few questions. What is the relative pay scale for the “international “ and the “local” employees? How will international professionals educate and pass on their skills to young people of Botswana? Explain how this involves Climate Justice vs new-colonialism? Thank you

All involvement is voluntary. International participants donate their time and the community co-creates with the additional benefit relating to education, the built environment and economic opportunity. The Living lab as well as well as participating academics are focused to create learning partnerships with African and off continent learning institutions in primary, secondary and tertiary education. The need was identified by the tribal authority and we are creating delivery capabilities and expertise within the community and designing a blueprint that can be utilized to explore what an antifragile community could be.

This will be our apex focus areas: People – Develop new systems, methods and education on collective preservation including health, governance, and sustainable living. Habitat – Focus on ICT based community food production (micro-farming), clean water, sanitation, renewable energy, and smart monitoring systems. Everything connected to everything Environment – Foster systems that leave close to zero environmental footprint. Collect data, monitor, and adjust decisions based on human impact to the ecosystem.

It certainly is. The difficulty with with Innovations is going further than just the innovation incubation spaces themselves. They have to have a way to be commercialised and there has to be infrastructure and and a society that's receptive to accepting innovation into their core. It's one of the reasons we have a similar sustainable aim for developing world communities. Using 3D printing in this case, to become another form of manufacturing to a decentralized system. We already have it working in the developed world, but one of our main aims is to allow the developing world to leapfrog existing technologies and catch up and so are planning a relatively early launch there. So the Science Park idea is great for helping to generate the sort of technical excellence we would need as a talent pipeline and innovative licensees to deploy and maintain our decentralised circular health equipment manufacturing platform. Take a look at this link. Do give it a Like and Share if you think it's a good idea https://app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/135373fd-8837-458d-addd-e6e25ec6bf2b

@axelisys Agree with several of your assertions. The community transformation, model and IP commercialization are concomitant explorations as this is also about transforming livelihoods.
