Germany is making progress in EU talks to ban fossil fuel cars.

Talks between Germany's Transport Ministry and the European Commission about the planned end of new combustion engines from 2035 are progressing, but an agreement is not yet reached. After months of negotiations, the European Parliament, the Commission and European Union member states agreed last year to require new cars sold in the EU from 2035 to have zero CO2 emissions, effectively making it impossible to sell combustion engine cars from that date.

It is important that the EU, its member states and other stakeholders continue to work together to ensure the successful implementation of this ambitious goal.

Fossil fuels cause local pollution where they are produced and used, and their ongoing use is causing lasting harm to the climate of our entire planet.

@peter_karanga yes at least a positive progress than nothing, but again why would countries prioritize some projects that are not so important to it's citizens and overlook on the most important ones

The FDP is such a pain in the a##. They block a general speed limit, want to build more streets, still don't budget the old under-maintained train system properly. They guys are still in the 20th century.
