I’d like to encourage everyone that there is something immediate and tangible you can do to address the climate crisis. You can collect and share climate data. As a climatologist, I can say with authority that there isn’t enough data out there. This is especially important in inner cities, rural and remote communities, and places that are experiencing climate injustice. Climate change may be global, but its impacts are local. It is much easier to dismiss taking action if there’s no data demanding it. Check out nonprofits like CoCoRaHS.org and 2DegreesC.org to learn how you can help (full disclosure-I’m a cofounder of the latter).
