AgriBiz Hubs to promote climate change resilience through Agri-innovation in Kenya

The County Government of Kilifi in partnership KCIC through the support of the European Union and the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) in Kenya, recently opened an AgriBiz Hub at Mtwapa Agricultural Centre in Kilifi. This hub will provide training, incubation and mentorship in order to improve access to capital and novel technologies, and build profitable farming. Kilifi county is one of the most hard hit counties in Kenya due to ongoing Climate change crisis which has led to below average rainfall and extended dry seasons - which have reduced food production and increased incidences of famine and need for relief food. The AgriBiz Hub has come at such an opportune time and will uplift resilient and sustainable farming practices in the remote the Kenyan Coast - a huge step toward #ZeoHunger #Sustainablelivelihoods #greenenterprenuership. I am particularly happy to read of the commitment by Kilifi County to centre Women and Youths in this program - as this will shelter the most vulnerable communities in the county from the harsh economic precariousness fueled by the ongoing climate change crisis. https://www.kenyacic.org/2022/04/kilifi-county-launches-agribiz-business-incubation-hub/

This is really great! As a Kilifian, this will mean a world to the farmers communities in the rural areas.
