Climate warning

American universities are expanding oil and gas exploitation on stolen indigenous land

Many US universities, including the University Arizona, have benefited over the past decades of "land grants", being given land stolen from Native American tribes by local governments which they can use to generate income for their institution, and the most common (because most profitable) way they do it is by renting this to oil and gas producers.

        It's very disgusting that institutions of higher learning which otherwise should be centres of disseminating information on climate change are engaging in extraction of fossil fuels. Too bad
