⚠️🇺🇸 The U.S. election isn't even over yet, but one thing is painfully clear: it's a monumental failure.
🌍 In the midst of a global climate crisis—where every single moment counts—it's staggering that climate barely made it onto the agenda. Not even in one of the world's largest economies is the climate a priority. Is it any surprise we're witnessing the consequences we face today?
But maybe—just maybe—this is the wake-up call we desperately need. Perhaps this harsh reality will make us realize that our current system is on a collision course with the planet. Maybe only when we're teetering on the brink of collapse do we truly grasp what's at stake.
💔 It's time to rebuild—from the ground up—toward a world where we live in harmony with nature.
Eight years ago, We Don't Have Time was born on the night Trump won his first election. That night, it became crystal clear to me that our leaders weren't treating the climate crisis with the urgency it demands. Now, another eight years later, I've realized it's not just the leaders who need to wake up.
🙏 It's all of us.
Many still choose to ignore the climate crisis, acting as if turning a blind eye is somehow a solution. But ignorance won't save us. Action will.
There will be a turning point. It's always darkest before dawn. Let's make this the low point from which we rise together. We must start lifting each other up, supporting one another in the fight for our planet.
🌱 I still believe we can turn things around. At #COP29, we'll launch our latest campaign, #BuyMoreTime—because now, more than ever, we need every precious second to tackle this crisis.
Facing the possibility of another four years with Trump only underscores our urgency. But remember, with every crisis comes the opportunity for new leadership to emerge. We must be ready. We must act now.
⏳ Time is our most valuable resource, and it's slipping through our fingers. Let's use it wisely. Let's unite and create the change our world so desperately needs.
Are you with me?

Trump doesn't care- he's not interested in the planet, not even for his children and grandchildren he simply doesn't want to believe in climate change because then he'd be a responsible human being and as long as he can deny it it removes him from responsibility.

Something tells me that the number of climate warnings US will receive will only increase.

It's disappointing that climate change remains sidelined in such a critical election, especially with urgent global needs.

@tabitha_kimani This is a clear indication that they don't care much about climate change.

Monumental crisis this has turned out to be !! Walking out of the Paris accord and the UNFCC would gravely impact the climate change agenda. We can only hope that these were things said during the heat of the campaign and will not actually happen.
