Death and displacement of floods hit kenya badly

Flooding in Kenya over the weekend uprooted scores of homes, decimated hundreds of acres of farmland, and killed at least 15 people in the country, according to the Kenya Red Cross Society. Torrential rain swept the usually dry country, sending waters tearing through entire villages and washing through the streets. The disaster forced 4,000 families to evacuate from their homes, local media reported. The Kenya Red Cross Society, which provides humanitarian relief in the country, also noted that 1,000 livestock animals were killed and at least 97 hectares of agricultural farmland were destroyed by the downpour. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/11/6/kenya-flooding-kills-15-displaces-thousands

It's a high time the responsible ministries to implement processes of halting this in future.

It is important to remember that climate change is a major factor in these types of disasters, and we need to take action to reduce our carbon emissions and protect our planet.

We wait for disasters to strike so that we can now think of how to mitigate them instead of thinking about preventive measures earlier in advance
