Bagging An Award for Having a Strategic Approach towards Managing its Environmental Impacts.
ICPAC's East African Climate Action Awards honored Safaricom. The telco was lauded for its environmental strategy. The Awards honor pioneering climate change solutions. The judging committee reviewed dozens of submissions before choosing the winners. The adjudicators evaluated pitch clarity, scalability, climate focus, sustainable development impact, and innovation. Linda Ogallo, Climate Change Adaptation Expert, ICPAC, said Safaricom was recognized for their strategic approach to net zero through their Carbon Trust project.
