It's all well and good creating 'eco-friendly' ranges of toilet roll or clothing ranges, etc. and improving some packaging here and there, but it all feels a bit tokenistic when you don't take every action you possibly can. We've noticed that several of Tesco's own brand products (including Plant Chef at one time) still include palm oil. We also looked at other options in Tesco for the same products, which make them without needing to use palm oil. We've found palm oil in products like their sausage rolls and biscuits. Their website claims that within their dairy, bakery and confectionery sections are items containing palm oil. Here's one example: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/254922107 Tesco has a disclaimer on their website to state that all their palm oil is RSPO certified, but surely it's just better to not use it at all?
