EU's net zero goals at risk as EV rollout faces setbacks

The EU needs to spearhead its policies to ban on new petrol car sales feasible as electric vehicles (EVs) remain unaffordable and alternative fuel options are not credible.
A ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars would be a boost to the makers of electric vehicles and shake up the vibrant auto industry.
If a ban is introduced on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars, and they are replaced by electric cars, the result would be a great reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

Banning petrol cars could be a game-changer for the environment, but it's a bit worrisome that electric vehicles aren't more accessible yet.

This is not good at all, a transition to electric vehicles is much needed for us to have a healthy planet, for the sake of our mother nature EU should reconsider this

The EU must prioritize policies that make EVs more accessible and invest in credible alternative fuel options to ensure a successful transition to sustainable transportation. Let's advocate for innovative solutions and robust support for EV infrastructure to accelerate progress towards a carbon-neutral future. 💪🌍

Sounds like a classic case of making excuses instead of taking real action. Instead of leading the charge on banning new petrol car sales, they're dragging their feet, holding back progress in the vibrant auto industry.

The setbacks in the EV rollout and lack of credible alternative fuel options hinder the EU's progress towards net zero goals, delaying the transition to a greener future and exacerbating carbon emissions. It is despicable that this happens

The EU needs to be at the forefront in EV production and not falling short of targets. Very sad!

@Kevin Instead, them together with the US are busy complaining they China is overproducing electric vehicles and green energy alternatives and will deplete their resources. It's comical to say the least

This is a dangerous move i hope the EU will reconsider for the sake of the planet and the people

@edwin_wangombe It may be as a result of big oil having the leaders in their pockets hence they are playing to the tune of their masters. The EU needs courageous leaders who are not afraid to go against the status quo

The success of EVs is crucial for achieving emissions targets, and any delays or challenges in their adoption could hinder progress. It's essential to address these obstacles to ensure a smooth transition to sustainable transportation.
