Karen is attending the Northern Forum on Sustainable Development in Yakutsk , Russia. While her age-mates are in class, she is busy fighting for their sustainable future because clearly she identified the threat and decided to be part of the solution by calling out on eco-conscious leaders to save the planet.She is the Founder & General Director of the Karen Forte Environmental Conservation Foundation in Kenya.
The crucial conference, scheduled for September 24-27, 2024, is addressing the pressing issue of climate change and its impact on permafrost thaw. Karen is a featured speaker at a special session titled “Sister Ecosystems: New Generation Environmental Initiatives” on September 25th.
This impactful session, organized by the Andrey Melnichenko Charity Foundation, will bring together young environmental activists from around the world to showcase their projects, research, and vision for a sustainable future.
The Melnichenko Foundation, dedicated to addressing zero hunger, quality education, and climate action, recognizes the importance of fostering nature-based solutions within the global climate agenda.
Karen’s dedication to environmental conservation began at the tender age of five. Her passion quickly translated into action, leading her to establish the Karen Forte Environmental Conservation Foundation.
