Recent budget cuts to active travel in England are raising red flags 🚨

A recent report shows a 65% cut in funds for walking and cycling by the Department for Transport (DfT), which concerns people and environmental advocates that these cuts could break progress toward achieving climate goals. These cuts are rushed, without thinking about their effect on emissions goals.
HM Treasury has to reevaluate its approach and prioritize investments that actively contribute to advancing our climate objectives. So Urgent action is needed to ensure that budget allocations support initiatives to promote sustainable transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 🌍🌱
