COP29 We must stop fossil fuels now

The people of the world are sick and tired of fossil fuel producers using COPs as an opportunity to grow their toxic industry.
We must stop fossil fuel consumption and expansion.
COP28 had the opportunity to curtail and reduce fossil fuel production and instead it was used for backroom trade agreements. This cannot continue. The world is burning.
Now we hear Azerbaijan is looking to abuse its hosting of COP29 the same way...

COP29 climate hosts say they'll keep expanding fossil fuels

The incoming president of the COP29 UN climate summit in Azerbaijan told AFP on Friday that his country would keep increasing fossil fuel production "in parallel" with investments in cleaner alternatives.
