Farmland birds in Europe declined by 60% – when will Bayer stop poisoning us, our planet and ecosystems?

In 40 years, the number of farmland birds in Europe has dropped by 60%. When will chemical companies like Bayer stop producing bird-killer and nature-killer pesticides?
A new study from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that intensive farming and the use of pesticides and herbicides are the key factors in the decline of bird populations. When will we transition away from intensive poisoning agriculture?? When will we ban companies like Bayer, Monsanto, BASF, Corteva, and so on from existing?
The research team found that wild bird population numbers have dropped by 25% in Europe since 1980. They also noted that farmland species were the hardest hit of any species, with population declines of almost 57% over the period studied.
Bayer is one of the world’s largest pesticide firms. As a reminder, in 2021, Bayer attempted to overturn the EU ban on bee-killing pesticides. It is no news that Bayer doesn't care about us, the planet, and the world's biodiversity. But I am wondering something: when will our governments start caring?

It's not profitable at all to reap great from the farms while the birds' lives are at stake. This evident huge decline is enough to warrant hefty penalties on the perpetrators. The environmental criminal courts should ensure that justice is well served

This is so sad.Bayer needs to take actions and stop producing poisonous herbicides and pestcides which end up killing innocent birds

Let us adopt use of Bio-slurry a good liquid fertilizer, which we can generate from local organic matter as we harvest BIOGAS for smart clean cooking while controlling emission of environmentally unfriendly gases and underground pollutants. Contact [email protected]
