Vegan Sneakers Made Out of Recycled Plastic Bags, Bottles and Rubber
Thaely creates vegan leather shoes out of plastic and rubber waste. The idea was conceptualised by 21 year old, Ashay Bhave, a visual artist and industrial designer. Thaely literally means (plastic) bags in Hindi.
Each pair uses/recycles a total of 15 plastic bags and 22 bottles. All components including the glue are 100% vegan. Each pair is packaged in a reusable shopping tote made from 4 plastic bottles & a box made from recycled paper which is embedded with basil seeds & dyed with waste coffee.
