*YOUTHS ON CLIMATE* *CHANGE* African youths have a critical role to play in challenging stereotypes , deconstructing myths and misconceptions surrounding climate change. As a continent that's on the receiving end of adverse effects of climate change,we need to push for policies that will put an end to discrimination and inequalities in the climate change advocacy space. THE youth’s voice on climate change should be heard, as they hold the future of the planet and the next generation. The youth have the power and responsibility to rise up, become catalysts for change and shape a sustainable future. Climate change is not a distant threat, it is a present reality, impacting our environment, communities and the very fabric of our existence. Let us envision a future where the youth play a pivotal role in shaping policies, leading initiatives and spearheading transformative actions to combat climate change, As we commemorate International Youth Week, we are presented with a unique opportunity to reflect on the immense potential that lies within our young generation. The energy, creativity, and passion of our youth can drive remarkable changes that will shape the world for years to come. The time has come for us, to step up and pave the way for our youth to take charge and lead the change they want to see. Our support and guidance can provide them with the tools and resources necessary to transform their aspirations into reality. Empowering our youth isn't just a buzzword – it's a necessity. By offering them mentorship, education, and opportunities, we can unlock their potential to innovate, problem-solve, and create lasting impact. It's crucial that we recognize their unique perspectives and give them the platform they deserve to influence decisions that affect their lives and the world at large. Investing in the youth is an investment in our collective future. Let's ensure they have access to quality education, vocational training, and skill-building programs. By doing so, we equip them with the tools to overcome challenges and thrive in an ever-evolving world. Let's Create A Global Movement for Change: This International Youth Week, let's make a commitment to collaborate across borders and cultures. When we work together, we can amplify our impact and create a truly global movement that drives positive change on a massive scale. We urge government organizations, and individuals alike to prioritize the needs and aspirations of our young generation. Let's create spaces for them to voice their ideas, engage in decision-making processes, and drive the changes they believe in. # *GREEN IS A TREND* By Kate Kirui Founder Green Circle foundation Info@greencirclefounfationafrica.org Catherine@greencircleafrica.org
