At Revitalize, we established that there is need for a paradigm shift in how we look at tree planting, to truly achieve the 5 million-tree mark in 4 years. It goes beyond placing a seed in the ground and leaving it to grow, rather, it is a social responsibility to acknowledge the need to protect our environment and take personal initiative contribute to the reduction green house emissions and increased afforestation.
Our partnership with school-going children is strategic, as we desire to build ownership and enhance accountability for the trees by encouraging each child to own one, water it and look after it to ensure growth.
As we planted 10,000 trees at the Ngong Race Course in November 2023, it was an action of hope, smaller steps that will contribute to the bigger agenda and a fierce declaration of our commitment to taking climate action in practical ways.
