Thousands of people - including the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg - demonstrated against an unhinged project: the drilling of eight new oil wells in the forest of La Teste-de-Buch, around the Bassin d'Arcachon and one hour from Bordeaux. As you know, the project has sparked controversy. And despite being at odds with the 2017 law aimed at halting hydrocarbon exploitation in France by 2040, it received approval after a public inquiry.

France could heavily invest in producing hydrogen from its nuclear energy and hydro and make e-fuels.

What language do we use so that they can understand the earth does not need more oil!! We only have one planet stop killing it

I had sent a climate warning to the company in charge of this project (see here: https://app.wedonthavetime.org/posts/de2e72a6-27c0-4d48-be3b-b2a3ca9b1804?utm_source=url-copy&utm_medium=wdht-web-app-share&utm_campaign=marine_stephan ) This is truly revolting! We can't just pass laws saying that we will act later, we need to act now!

I accede with those who resist the drilling of Oil by that company! Drilling those eight wells will now be obnoxious.

More fossil fuels? Not at all, this venture to have eight wells in La Teste-de-Buch forest must be resisted by all means.

This should come to an end .it is evident of the kind of danger this fossil fuel is to our environment ,so why continue investing on it ?

Haven't we learnt our lesson on fossil fuels and their effect on the climate. French Government is preaching water and drinking wine. So sad

This is unacceptable. The French government needs to take the action!
