Solutions exist to reduce plastic pollution, such as biodegradable plastic and bioplastics made of biomass. Biomass is any kind of biological material, including food waste.
This reduces greenhouse gas emissions and can be broken down by bacteria, fungi, and other decomposers in the environment.
