Making Plastic From Seaweed! The California based startup Sway makes a material that looks and behaves like thin plastic-film, made out of chemically tweaked fast growing seaweed. This could work as a replacement for plastic films. The seaweed comes from farms that provide benefits to sea life rather than destroying it and the final product is compostable.
