Einride partners with DP World to electrify inter-terminal containers at the busiest Dubai port

It is when big companies take a step towards transition into sustainability, the promise of a big change rears its head. In one such move, the autonomous and electric heavy-duty vehicle provider Einrich has partnered with the global supply chain solutions provider DP World to scale up their operations at the Jebel Ali Port in Dubai.

This move will save 14,600 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, thereby contributing to the UAE’s climate goals. Owing to this partnership, electric inter-terminal containers will be introduced by the end of this year into the 10th busiest port in the world, thus increasing efficiency and sustainability. Einride will provide a fleet of 100 connected electric trucks to DP World and support 1,600 container movements daily. To transform the face of transport in the region, this move will operate 24/7 and be the largest electric, autonomous freight mobility project in the Middle East.
