Energy from braking will charge the batteries of this “infinity” train

The Australian mining company Fortescue together with British company Williams Advanced Engineering, wants to replace diesel locomotives with train that charge their batteries while braking carrying iron ore downhill. The plan is that the breaking will generate enough power to get the empty train back uphill. Great innovation!
