Ruto: We only have one globe for all of us to share.

Speaking during the official opening of the ID4Africa conference in South C in Nairobi the President of Kenya, Dr William Ruto called upon all leaders around the globe to work together in fighting climate change effects. President Ruto lamented on Africa being sideline during important decision making forums. The president called for inclusion stating that Africa as a young continent would in future grow to a great content only if it sits in this decision tables. "We will be discussing in Paris shortly, the International Financial system and a new deal that will bring lenders and borrowers together," he said. Among what Kenya's Head of State emphasized is the importance of climate investment and climate financing. Where he called for a fair credit policy. Furthermore the President asserted that the government of Kenya is working in bringing a solution by working on geothermal and clean energy development. This is to help the globe transition to clean energy and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. This comes a few days after signing an MOU with the government of Singapore on matters Carbon credit. However the President warned that his ambition is not a fight against Africa countries and the West, but a pledge for all global leaders to work in synergy towards fighting climate change.
