CEMEX plans to recycle CO2 captured from cement production to make synthetic fuels using green hydrogen
CEMEX has announced plans to collaborate with UK company Carbon Clean to capture CO2 emissions from its cement plant at Rudersdorf, Germany. Cement production is currently one of the largest global sources of CO2 emissions. The captured CO2 will be reacted with green hydrogen from a dedicated pipeline to produce lower-carbon, synthetic hydrocarbon fuels, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of the plant:
