Soon we can loan electric bicycles in Stockholm!
New cycle hire system finally on the way in the capital of Sweden after the old one stopped 2018. Starting this spring the people of Stockholm will be able to hire electric bikes & box bikes (to transport things), for very reasonable prices.
- We will make it easy to cycle in Stockholm, even for those who do not own their own bicycle and for those who are only visiting the city, says Daniel Helldén (MP), Stockholm City Council in a press release.
Marfina bike sharing business is the company that will provide the new system and the 5150 bikes and 120 box bikes.

Cargo Bike rental is awesome. That really makes sense. It’s complicated to own one if you live in the city due to the parking. And many people only need it every ie and then.

It's great to see loan bikes are back in Stockholm and I am glad the price is still reasonable even though there are electric bikes! I hope they will have a well developed app to localize them so it makes it easy to find an available one when needed.

Cargo bike rental is a really important idea. Especially those huge trikes that I’ve seen for rental in the Netherlands or Denmark. Really good for moving house and stuff like that.
