The UK's plastic bag fee has led to an 80 percent reduction in plastic bag litter on British beaches over the last decade, according to a survey by the Marine Conservation Society. There are now only about one plastic bag for every 100 meters of coastline, compared to five in 2014. The fee, introduced in different regions between 2011 and 2015, has been a driving force in reducing waste. Advocates are now calling for similar measures for other single-use plastics as efforts to reduce plastic pollution continue.
May the citizens of United Kingdoms keep pushing for more bans and reusable alternatives. 🌍💚 #PlasticFree #ClimateAction
