Over 200,000 people have signed within a week for the resignation of German Transport Minister Wissing.

The problem is bigger than FDP Volker Wissing - but the blockades of the FDP minister are slowing down any progress in the traffic turnaround. A transport minister who, in the midst of the climate crisis, is clinging to internal combustion engines and motorways is refusing to work. Resignation or dismissal would be the only consistent reaction.

But instead, the traffic light coalition rewarded him with concessions: Wissing's Ministry of Transport has missed its climate targets twice - yesterday the coalition committee decided to simply abolish these sector targets. What the hell! Greens, SPD and FDP release Wissing from any responsibility. And not only that: the coalition wants to anchor 144 motorway projects as “overriding public interest”. The result: You can be pushed through against any resistance.

We are not reconciled to the fact that the self-proclaimed "progress coalition" itself is further dismantling the GroKo's unambitious climate protection law. That's why we're demonstrating on Friday at 2 p.m. at Invalidenpark - right in front of the Ministry of Transport. We have a big banner that says: "200,000 for Wissing's resignation" - no concessions for the traffic turnaround brake pad! We invited Wissing to accept the signatures. We are curious to see whether he dares to face the criticism.

So that we can get really loud as a climate movement, we also need you: Come to the climate strike on Friday if you're in Berlin. If you can't come to Berlin, you'll help us a lot if you share the petition with all your friends. Can we crack 250,000 signatures by Friday?
