US channels $254 million to cut emissions.

The Biden administration channel $254 million in funding for projects aiming to cut greenhouse gas emissions from heavy industry such as iron, steel and cement.
Heavy industry makes products that are central to our modern way of life but is also responsible for nearly 40% of global carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions.
No sector can escape the need to dramatically reduce emissions in a pathway towards net-zero emissions for the energy system.
