ON A LIGHTER NOTE. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL SANDWICH DAY 3RD NOVEMBER.

Picnics as we know them started to really take off in the 18th century, as a pastime loved by the French aristocracy. Appearing slightly before the first restaurants, picnics were a fun twist to the rules and tradition of dining, bringing what had always been indoors, outdoors.

These days they are wonderful outdoor events with the family. This fun time must not die due to the DWINDLING population of trees, let our children and grandchildren continue to enjoy SUCH EVENTS FOR MANY YEARS TO COME!
