For describing the costly effects of NOT tackling climate crisis

Fixing the climate crisis will cost a lot of money, but itโ€™s a real bargain compared to handling the consequences of a hotter world. This has been known for a long time, but it is being made even clearer in a new intergenerational report from the Australian government. According to the report, Australiaโ€™s economy would suffer greatly if global temperatures exceed 2C above pre-industrial times. A few examples from the study: โ€ข Productivity will fall because of the hotter conditions, sapping the economy of between $135bn and $423bn in todayโ€™s dollars. Should temperature increases reach 3C, the cost to GDP could rise a further $155bn, with 16-41m additional hours of work lost. โ€ข Income from tourism will be heavily reduced, due to loss of nature attractions. At least 50% of the nationโ€™s sandy coastline is at peril because of rising sea levels. The report, which is due to be published on Thursday, also predicts lower crop yields, increased exposure to extreme heat for the country's population, and increased frequency and severity of natural disasters.

Climate change is a threat that sees no borders and can harm us all if proper measures are not put in place.

Unfortunately solving climate crisis will cost the world more than prevention.

The costs of climate risk will likely continue to rise in the coming years if not well tackled.

The bare truth is that it's very costly to ignore taking action than it is to act promptly.
