Lobby in court to stop further uprooting of Baobab trees in Kilifi Kenya.
A Kenyan lobby group named Kituo Cha Sheria has filled a court case against some Kenyan government departments for permitting the uprooting of baobab trees at the coastal region of Kenya.
It has sued Kenya Forest Service, NEMA, County Government of Kilifi, Ministry of Environment and the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service.
The baobab trees are a unique species and part of the natural heritage protected under the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. Its discouraging to realize that the people given the mandate to protect the environment are the ones facilitating the exploitation of the same leading to extinctions.

This was a tragic move by the some greedy people who were out there to serve their selfish intrest at the expense of our nature. However, after the story was brought to light and caught president ruto's attention he called off the people who were doing that.
