Sunak faces further pressure over net zero U-turn after IEA warning

Rishi Sunak faces further pressure over his U-turn on net zero targets, after the head of the world’s energy watchdog said countries that water down green policies risked worsening the climate crisis and damaging their own economies. In its annual World Energy Outlook, the International Energy Agency (IEA) hailed the gathering pace of the worldwide transition to cleaner energy, forecasting for the first time that demand for oil, gas and coal would peak before the end of the decade. https://getsnap.link/MJR3qrvoV9Z

Sure the UK risks watering down any of the progress they have made if they do not adhere to deadlines

Sunak taking a U-turn on matters of climate was a wrong decision and we don't have time

Having a U turn on matters of climate is very disturbing, this means that they don't care of what might pop up due to climate change i.e.catastrophes.e.t.c.

The climate crisis is too important to ignore.
