The outlook for SAF is about a 200,000 bpd market with US government subsidies. This is on a 10 million bpd market growing by 2x GDP. Therefore, SAF will represent less than 2% of all jet fuel consumption. Any further expansion requires corn (remember ethanol?) and would pressure food inflation, a massively regressive tax. Maybe we can live with airline emissions while we work to reduce individual car use?
