This is very good climate action from Deloitte! Deloitte announced that it has begun to roll out a new climate learning program for all 330,000 of its people worldwide. A first-of-its-kind among major global organizations, the program aims to inform, challenge and inspire Deloitte people to learn about the impacts of climate change and empower them to confidently navigate their contribution to addressing climate change by making responsible choices at home and at work, and in advising our clients. In order to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the worst effects of climate change, the world needs an ecosystem of public and private actions that can help mobilize and enact collective change, which includes the business community and their employees. By increasing climate literacy and building the skills required to address climate change, this new learning program, developed in collaboration with World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is designed to engage all Deloitte people around the world on the impacts of climate change, inform them about how Deloitte is responding to the climate crisis, and inspire Deloitte people to take action. "To address climate change, we need to understand it. Through dedicated learning, we can help make the right choices necessary to combat the crisis," says Punit Renjen, Deloitte Global CEO. "Deloitte’s climate learning program is a powerful tool to unlock the climate ambition of our most valuable asset and superpower—our people. By educating and inspiring all 330,000 of us, we can help drive collective action at the scale required to help address climate change." Thank you for your interest in our new climate learning program. It is one part of Deloitte’s larger ambition to empower our people and inspire them to take individual and collective climate action alongside their clients and communities. This past spring in the lead-up to Earth Day, Deloitte also launched #iAct, a new social media campaign to prompt our practitioners and the world to consider their personal choices to mitigate their impact on the environment, with a publicly available interactive climate impact quiz that provides personalized actions to live more sustainably. We continue to think of creative ways to equip our people with the knowledge and ability to prioritize sustainability and engage our broader ecosystem in collective pursuit of a low carbon economy. Our 330,000+ people living all over the world are our superpower – a critical component of our WorldClimate strategy and commitment to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2030. -- Kathryn Alsegaf, Deloitte Global Internal Sustainability Leader

These models do already exist. Back in 2012, we worked with a UNDP team to create a social accounting and forensic economic model. This also formed the basis of a proper Carbon accounting model in subsequent years. It's definitely already possible.

Education is one of the keys to the solution of the climate crisis. If you don’t know what’s the right way to go, how could you make the right decision then?

Very inspiring to hear about your work - one of the most important actions any large corporation can take is to educate their employees! Keep up the good work and I hope to see this spread!
