THE POWER OF A TREEThe United Nations Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. These Global Goals are an urgent call for collective action by all countries to end poverty, improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all the while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.Trees are astonishingly effective allies in these efforts: They improve our urban environments, help combat climate change, provide important ecosystem services that support biodiversity, and enhance community well-being.Conserving existing trees and planting new ones – especially endemic and native species – are important steps to regenerating wild areas, creating more sustainable communities, and protecting our paradise for future generations. We hope this has inspired you to see the power of trees in KENYA.With only 7% of the country having tree cover, Kenya is the least forested country in Africa. That works out as 67 trees per person rather than a global average of 420.YOU can plant a tree with us today in Kenya, no matter where you are in the world! We will help YOU plant trees where they are most needed by simply finding a school child in Kenya to adopt your tree, plant it, water it and pray for it to grow big and strong. They will also make a pledge to look after it for all the years they are in that school, and as they exit the school they will pass the tree baton to an incoming learner.Trees are nature's superheroes, playing a crucial role in combating climate change and preserving ecosystems. When trees are planted in the right place, at the right time, and for the right reasons, they can help address many of the environmental and social challenges we face. With your help, we will:• Plant trees that will combat climate change as they grow in some of the driest parts of Kenya• Restore critical habitat for the millions of species that depend on forests• Engage local communities, stabilize livelihoods, and improve food security.Another offavourite projectsenya, onProject. Our tree planting initiative is driven by Revitalize Homes & Garden, a wholly owned Kenyan Company, that plays the part of A Ground Handling Tree Planting Partner. Our services include sourcing seedlings from small-scale nurseries around Kenya, identifying schools in which to plant trees, digging holes, planning the tree planting event, and teaching learning about the importance of trees. And of course, each tree planted and nurtured by a learner at these schools, is a tree absorbing carbon for us all.We are passionate about bringing change to our beautiful country, and Revitalizing Kenya one tree at a time.Should you as an individual or a company that has ties with Kenya want to join our initiate, please visit our websiteHome - Homes and Gardens
