The two swedes Elise Lindow and Josephine Daly Tempelaar wanted to find an alternative to plastic straws. Their research showed that rye straws was historically used, this was the start of their company Rawstraw. Produced locally in Sweden and a climate smart alternative to straws made if plastic.
Their company recently got investments from “dragons” in the Swedish version of the tv-show Dragons den (Draknästet). They want their product to be available on a bigger market in the future.
- We have always said that we want to be the largest company in Europe that manufactures environmentally friendly straws, says Elise Lindow.
It’s great seeing new company’s like Rawstraw grow, with a environmentally friendly and smart product that offer alternatives to plastic usage!
