Mount Kenya university environmental club is a self funded student led club in mount Kenya university. It has successfully conducted the first day of the three days environmental sensitization campaign within the university. Most students in the university don't have basic environmental concepts,as a club whose vision is reuniting society and Nature ,they decided to sensitize the students why they need to protect their planet. Some of the messages they were passing were ; "My Waste My Responsibility" "Kick out Pollution before it kicks you out" "Everyone has a right to green, clean and healthy environment " "Love to breathe, save trees" "Keep our environment clean " The 7 Rs. They plan to finish the remaining days by going to classes and have one on one conversation with students educating them on climate change, pollution and Biodiversity. They will encourage every student to be eco friendly and embrace the 7 Rs(Refuse, reduce, reuse recycle, repair, regift, recover ) They have been in the front line of fighting for a better earth for all . Big climate love to them for the work they do for mother nature.
