NamX
This company is working on a hydrogen car with interchangeable tanks (which will deliver it to your home)

Hydrogen cars face a chicken-and-egg problem: people do not want to buy a hydrogen car because there are too few hydrogen filling stations, but too few hydrogen filling stations are being built because there are too few hydrogen cars on the road. The Moroccan NamX is working on a striking way to get around that problem: a hydrogen SUV with interchangeable hydrogen capsules.
NamX teamed up with design agency Pininfarina to take the unique (and perhaps a little far-fetched) plan further. The idea: to build an SUV that (in addition to a regular hydrogen tank) has interchangeable hydrogen capsules that you can manually 'click' into the car. The capsules can be refilled at a hydrogen filling station, but they can also be exchanged at exchange stations. According to the company, this should not take longer than four minutes.
NamX is even willing to have the capsules delivered to your home. The company is not yet commenting on how it will safely transport the hydrogen capsules. Or what about the safety of users when they take capsules in and out of the car.
Driving 800 kilometers on hydrogen
The hydrogen car has enough space for six hydrogen capsules. Each capsule contains enough hydrogen to drive about 150 kilometers. The total range should then (logically) amount to 900 kilometers, but NamX speaks of a maximum range of 800 kilometers.
The price of the eye-catching SUV is also known. For a basic model you have to pay more than 68,000 dollars (almost 65,000 euros). If all goes well, the hydrogen SUV should be ready for the market in 2026. NamX is already taking reservations.
Mobile hydrogen filling stations
NamX is not the only company that is trying to get around the problem of hydrogen filling stations in an innovative way. The American Hyperion presented a mobile gas station a few weeks ago. The so-called Hyper:Fuel XF-7 can be easily moved and is able to charge both hydrogen cars and electric cars.

Hydrogen is highly explosive and very unstable plus very very expensive. It would be better to just power a hydrogen electric car with the electricity that is used to make hydrogen

I love how eco-friendly and stylish the car looks... Who said that eco-friendly living should be boring?? Kudos to @NamX
