49 countries have now joined the Global Mangrove Alliance.
Initiated by the UAE and Indonesia at COP27, the Alliance is an unprecedented collaboration dedicated to protecting the forests that are critical to biodiversity and preserving our coasts. The newly established Mohamed bin Zayed-Joko Widodo International Mangrove Research Centre further strengthens these efforts, driving innovation and nature-based solutions to cultivate mangroves and safeguard coastal ecosystems.
