For constructing the world’s largest offshore wind farm

SSE Renewables is leading on the development and construction of Dogger Bank Wind Farm. The offshore wind farm, located more than 130km off the North East coast of England, will be capable of powering 6 million British homes. Dogger Bank Wind Farm is being developed in three phases – Dogger Bank A, B and C – located between 130km and 190km from the North East coast of England at their nearest points. Collectively they will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm when operational in 2026. They will have a combined capacity of 3.6GW and will be capable of powering up to 6 million homes. The Dogger Bank offshore wind farm is a joint venture partnership between SSE Renewables (40%), Equinor (40%) and Eni (20%). The latest news is that Dogger Bank Wind Farm has awarded a contract for the transport and installation of the Dogger Bank C offshore substation to Heerema Marine Contractors.
