New rules will reduce plastic and other contamination in compost

February 14, 2025 – Washington gardeners have complained for decades about annoying bits of trash they find in compost and products that contain compost, such as potting mixes. Plastic wrap and packaging, cardboard pieces and plant labels are all part of the contamination scourge that is frustrating compost users from Aberdeen to Airway Heights.
I am certain that plastic pollution will end if we put some more focus and derived some strategies for it.

I also hope new rules, policies, and step to be taken will really reduce or make possible for plastic pollution resolved, plastics are very dangerous. Something need to be done ASAP.
